INTRODUCING "THE INTERPRESSIONISM MOVEMENT" AT THE MUSEUM OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN RESEARCH LIBRARY AND CULTURAL CENTER (AARLCC), SISTRUNK FT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA
A Tribute to Dr. Alfreda Delois Upshaw

Dr. Alfreida Delois Upshaw 1940 - 2018
This past art exhibit was dedicated to our dear friend Alfreida Delois Upshaw, a cherished figure from Detroit, Michigan. Before her passing in 2018, Alfreida served as the Principal Agent for Master Daniel Austin. A wise advisor and a passionate advocate of the Interpressionism Movement, she worked tirelessly alongside the Director of the Broward Library and the staff at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC). Together, they orchestrated the largest Interpressionism art exhibition ever held in Broward County. Due to Alfreida's efforts, the Sir Austin Interpressionism Art Gallery was granted a 5,000-square-foot space at AARLCC for three months. As the third-largest African American museum in the nation, AARLCC provided the perfect setting for an exhibit of such significance and scope. This "Premiere Art Exhibition" was a fitting tribute to Alfreida's vision and dedication. Tragically, Alfreida passed away just two days before the opening of the event. In her honor, this "Historic Revisited Art Event" is dedicated to her memory. Alfreida Upshaw's legacy will forever be etched in our hearts and on the walls of the Museum of Interpressionism Art (M.O.I. Art).
Thank you, and rest in peace, dear friend.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us in celebrating the introduction of the Interpressionism Movement at the Museum of the African American Research Library & Cultural Center. Your presence made this Premiere Soirée Event one of the most successful art exhibitions in Broward County, Florida.
A special thank you goes to my family, friends, and sponsors for your unwavering support and for believing in the Interpressionism Movement. Your encouragement has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life.
Today, thousands of you have witnessed the birth of this cutting-edge and emerging art movement in Florida. I am deeply grateful to all of you for allowing me to introduce myself and the Interpressionism Movement to the Floridian communities. It was truly inspiring to see so many young people, alongside their parents, as well as individuals from all walks of life, come together to celebrate this momentous occasion.
Our sincere gratitude goes to Mr. Wilson, Director of the Broward County Main Library, and the entire staff at the African American Research Library & Cultural Center for their hard work and dedication in making this event a resounding success. This exhibition featured the largest collection of Interpressionism artworks ever displayed in one location, all created by the renowned Master Daniel Austin.
We would also like to express our deep appreciation to Commissioner D.C. Holness for his presence and inspiring words at the opening reception of the Soirée exhibition. His support has been invaluable to our cause.

One of the many wonderful memories I will always cherish from this Premiere Event was seeing students from across the state of Florida explore the exhibition with enthusiasm. They asked insightful questions about the Interpressionism Movement, shared their thoughts, and applied their logic to engage with this new and trending art form. It was truly delightful to witness their curiosity and passion.
A special thank you goes out to all the students, professors, teachers, and faculty members who attended the exhibition. In particular, we wish to acknowledge the group of 50 students and faculty from SAIL High School of Orlando, the group of 25 students and staff from the Youth Organization of Pensacola, Florida, and all the schools from the Broward County School District who came to witness the birth of the Interpressionism Movement at the Museum of the African American Research Library & Cultural Center (AARLCC) in Broward’s Sistrunk community.
Once again, I want to thank you all for your presence and support. I ask that you continue to stand with us as we work to keep the Interpressionism Movement alive. Together, let us hope that one day it will take its place among the distinguished movements in the art world.

With Sincere gratitude,
Master Daniel Austin
